From Motorsport Aktuell:

Macau is certainly the most entertaining circuit on the calendar. It's a fantastic place with fantastic people. It's a real experience going there. I hear there are rumours that the race will not have a long term future. I'd be very sad if we're not going back there.

It's a circuit that has always suited the Chevrolet very well. All three of us have already finished on the podium there: my team-mates Alain Menu and Nicola Larini as well as myself.

We are out of the championship hunt. We can now just focus on pole positions and race wins. Macau is certainly a place where any of us three Chevrolet drivers can achieve that.

Going there, I have as much chances of finishing second than second has of finishing first. I know our car has always been good around Macau, and I have always been good around Macau too so I will be giving it my best shot to get that second place in the overall championship.

A lot will come down to qualifying and getting a clean lap there, which won't be easy, as there are always incidents and accidents. We will have to focus on a good starting position, as overtaking is very difficult.

But with the chance of a yellow or even a red flag in qualifying, this can easily turn into a lottery. However, off the track, Macau is known as The Las Vegas of Asia. The entire city thrives on Chinese tourists playing Black Jack or Roulette in the countless casinos which are situated in the huge hotel blocks all over town. So why should we be any better off on the track than the tourists off the circuit?

Also, the break between the two races is very short; there is only limited time for repairs of the damage after race 1. On a track like Macau, this can also become very important.

Macau is 6 kilometres of the most insane circuit in the world. It's for sure a crazy track maybe thats why it suits me so much
